"Message from the Chief" On behalf of the men and women of the Saratoga Springs Police Department, I'd like to welcome you to our department's web site. I hope you find this site helpful and informative. The Police Department is committed to working closely with our community to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for those who live, work, or visit the City of Saratoga Springs. Our police department employees are each committed to providing the highest level of police services. We accomplish this through a variety of partnerships with the community and other service providers in Saratoga County. Our department is committed to serving you – our customer. Whether you live or work in Saratoga, or are just visiting, you should know that we stand ready to serve. Of course, we cannot do it alone. We need your help in reporting suspicious activity and crime, becoming and remaining involved in your neighborhoods, and sharing information with us to preserve order and safety. I am proud to serve as Chief of Police. Our department is committed to operating in a community policing philosophy and encourages your involvement with us. On behalf of the members of the Saratoga Springs Police Department, thank you for working with us to make our city one of the greatest places to live, work and visit in New York. I encourage you to browse our site and learn about our agency and its programs within our community. Through these programs we learn more about the needs of those we serve, and they in turn better understand the challenges we face in policing.

Assistant Chief of Police The Saratoga Springs Police Department is only as good as the support it receives from our citizens, visitors, and public and private businesses, agencies, and institutions. The department has taken a proactive lead in training our officers in current law enforcement trends and responses in the post 9/11 world. I would like to extend the department's appreciation to our many supporters and partners including the Saratoga Springs City School District, Skidmore College, Four Winds Hospital, Empire State College, the U.S. Department of Energy (KAPL), U. S. Navy, New York State Police, New York State Park Police, and Saratoga County Sheriff Department. Through cooperative efforts with entities such as these, the department continues to conduct progressive and innovative training that will help ensure a swift, safe, and coordinated response should the need arise in a major incident. The men and women of the Saratoga Springs Police Department, both sworn officers and civilian staff, stand ready to serve and protect and look forward to your continued support.
