Saratoga Springs Police Department 5 Lake Avenue, City Hall Saratoga Springs, New York 12866 518-584-1800
The City of Saratoga Springs Police Department has worked diligently to comply with the New York State Sex Offender Registry legislation through timely notifications to vulnerable populations when a registered sex offender moves into their neighborhood. Chapter 680 of the Laws of 2005 now requires law enforcement to compile, maintain, and update a listing of vulnerable organizations within their jurisdiction. Some examples of vulnerable organizations would be the superintendent of schools, superintendent of parks, public and private libraries, public and private school bus transportation companies, day care centers, nursery schools, preschools, neighborhood watch groups, community centers, civic associations, nursing homes, victim’s advocacy groups and places of worship. Our agency’s listing may also include other vulnerable organizations as deemed appropriate. In an effort to ensure that our list is as complete as possible and to streamline our notification procedures, we are asking for the cooperation of vulnerable organizations located within the City of Saratoga Springs. The Police Department has established an e-mail address for correspondence related to registered sex offenders in the city of Saratoga Springs. We are requesting all vulnerable organizations within the City of Saratoga Springs to complete the following online form so that we can update our database of vulnerable organizations within the city. Thank you for your cooperation in helping us to keep our community safe. Edward F. Moore Chief of Police Saratoga Springs Police Department
